Morgan Phillips is the President and COO of Vincimus Capital, a role that draws on nearly two decades of building the systems, relationships, and infrastructure that allow good work to happen where it matters most.
His career has taken him across some of the more interesting corners of the financial world. He began at Wachovia Bank, working directly with professional athletes and high-net-worth individuals — an early education in serving people with real complexity in their financial lives. From there he joined Black Diamond Performance Reporting in its early days, serving the firm's largest clients before moving into product and development, where he led work on custodial data reconciliation, alternative-asset reporting, and a client experience initiative designed to help RIAs better connect with the people they serve.
Before joining Vincimus, Morgan led Technology and Operations at FIG Capital, an alternative investment vehicle focused on real estate tax liens, where he oversaw the onboarding and servicing of more than one million individual lien placements as the fund expanded into seven new states. Vincimus brought those threads together — walking alongside families to steward the resources entrusted to them, with a front-row seat to the ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit he believes will continue to propel this country forward.
Beyond the firm, Morgan serves on the board of Certain Capital, a private tax-lien fund based in Nashville, Tennessee.
Morgan earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Auburn University and lives in Jacksonville, Florida, with his wife and three daughters. If he isn't working, he's outside and near the water — surfing, on the boat, at the beach, or finding any excuse to stay in motion.
